Financing of the International Fund for agricultural development UN programs of food security

Abstract
The article describes the main aspects of the financing of the International Fund for agricultural development UN programmers aimed at ensuring food security. The levels of co-financing from bilateral and multilateral donor programs and projects supported by IFAD are investigated. The volumes of IFAD financing in the regions are analyzed. The biggest investment of IFAD carried out in the region of Asia and the Pacific, which is associated with a high proportion of people who suffer from hunger, especially in rural areas of South Asia. The least amount of funding IFAD aims in Latin America and the Caribbean, in connection with the positive dynamics of poverty reduction. Defined the main activities of IFAD that respond to national development priorities of the regions: improving access of small farmers to Finance in rural areas; increase employment of rural youth, linking small producers of specialty crops in domestic and international markets, improving land and water management, reducing vulnerability to water scarcity and resilience to climate change, the construction of roads and other infrastructure to improve the efficiency of the rural economy.
