Purpose. In modern conditions of management there is a need for a deep study of the strategy of economic development of the industry and the economic efficiency of production of vegetable crops. The need to address these issues, their complexity and urgency for the Ukrainian economy led to the choice of the topic of research.
Methods. Methods used in the article: theoretical analysis and synthesis of the test material, social and qualitative research methods, analytical - statistical method.
Results. Further entry into the world economic space, the intensification of globalization processes, trade liberalization needs to be adapted to constantly changing conditions and, accordingly, further improvement of the strategy of economic development of the vegetable industry. In the publications of domestic and foreign scientists, the essence of economic efficiency is reduced to the ratio of "costs - output", which characterizes the relationship between the number of units of means of production and the resulting quantity of products.
Originality. The efficiency of the production and processing of vegetables includes not only the ratio of output and production costs, it also reflects the quality of products and its ability to meet those or other needs of consumers. At the same time improving the quality of the product requires additional costs of living and ordinarily labor. Increasing the economic efficiency of vegetable production also contributes to the growth of incomes of enterprises, which is the basis for the expansion and improvement of production, increase of wages and improvement of cultural and household conditions of industry workers.
Conclusion. The efficiency of the production and processing of vegetables includes not only the ratio of output and production costs, it also reflects the quality of products and its ability to meet those or other needs of consumers. At the same time improving the quality of the product requires additional costs of living and ordinarily labor. Increasing the economic efficiency of vegetable production also contributes to the growth of incomes of enterprises, which is the basis for the expansion and improvement of production, increase of wages and improvement of cultural and household conditions of industry workers.Article Details
