Abstract

Introduction. The war in Ukraine has been going on since 2014, causing the loss of about 25% of its
industrial potential. Socio-economic losses from the war include the loss of part of the territory, the economically
active population, economic entities, as well as the reduction of the capacity of the domestic market. Indirect
negative consequences include social and economic instability, deteriorating investment attractiveness,
increasing the burden on social infrastructure due to the expansion of internal displacement, and so on. These
conditions have deteriorated significantly since the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the problem
of maintaining the viability and capacity of domestic businesses in extremely difficult conditions of economic
instability is acute. This actualizes the task, on the one hand, to develop an appropriate methodological framework
for analyzing economic security, identification of crisis situations of the enterprise, and on the other - the
establishment of a reliable system of crisis management of enterprises.
The purpose of the study is to develop and test methods for identifying weaknesses and substantiate the
provisions of the crisis management system of the enterprise in conditions of high economic instability.
Results. The study reveals the relevance of measures taken by business entities to identify weaknesses in
their functioning and development, as well as building on this basis a system of crisis management development.
Particular emphasis is placed on the urgency of measures in this direction given the high level of economic
instability of the business environment in Ukraine.
Originality. Weaknesses of functioning and development of the enterprise with application of indicator and
resource-functional methods, and also a method of economic efficiency of the enterprise are revealed. Such
aspects of anti-crisis management of the enterprise as financial, intellectual and personnel, technicaltechnological, ecological, product and power are analyzed in detail. The integrated coefficient of stability of
functioning and development of business is calculated.
Conclusions. The approximate value of the results of the study is that it is established that the values of all
ratios of liquidity and financial stability, profitability, investment security, capacity utilization, return on assets
and turnover of current assets are threatening. To increase the efficiency of the crisis management system at the
enterprise developed measures, comprehensive and consistent implementation of which allows to ensure more
stable and stable operation and development of the enterprise, and, consequently, a more effective system of crisis
management. It was found that the largest possible reserve for improving business stability remains in the
following components: financial (1.34), product (0.47), power (0.4) and information (0.31). The implementation
of measures aimed at improving only these four parameters of the enterprise can increase the integrated level of
stability, and, consequently, counteract the development of crisis phenomena at the enterprise to 9.5. The scientific
novelty of the research results lies in the further development of methods for analyzing weaknesses in the system
of crisis management of enterprise development.
