Theories of consumption: gnosiological aspect of analysis

Abstract
Modern society is characterized by a system of values and behavior, which is dominated by the extravagance of the consumption is implemented for the sake of consumption, technocratism privalivayut and pragmatism. All this occurs against the backdrop of the exhaustion of natural resources, global environmental problems, the problems of poverty and hunger. Relevant questions are theoretical explanation of the phenomenon of consumption, the personification of power. The identification and review of the theories of consumption, which are used to explain the modern consumer are carried out. Summarizes current thinking on the theory of consumption, including such approaches are highlighted: from the point of view of economic theory; sociological theory; philosophical theory; from a marketing standpoint; in terms of psychology. Classification of modern forms of consumption complemented by "personalized consumption" that displays the greatest challenges of modern society and the economy associated with the need to solve the problem of food security at the global, national, and international levels.
