GREEN BRANDING AS A TOOL FOR ENHANCING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES
Main Article Content
Abstract
Introduction. In the current conditions of intensifying environmental requirements, market digitalization, and changing consumer priorities, agricultural enterprises are forced to search for new tools to strengthen their market positions. One of the most promising instruments is green branding, which enables enterprises to combine environmental responsibility with marketing advantages and transform ecological characteristics of production into competitive benefits. For the agrarian sector, this issue is especially important, since product quality, safety, sustainability, and trust increasingly determine consumer choice and enterprise competitiveness in both domestic and foreign markets.
Purpose. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the role of green branding as an effective instrument for increasing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises and to identify the main mechanisms of its influence on consumer trust, product differentiation, and market positioning.
Results. The study systematizes scientific approaches to the interpretation of green branding, ecological marketing, green brand equity, and eco-labeling. It is substantiated that green branding should be considered as a comprehensive mechanism for forming an environmentally oriented enterprise image, differentiating agricultural products, strengthening consumer trust, and improving market positions. The research proves that the key elements of green branding include ecological innovations, digital communications, transparent labeling, visual identity, and consistent brand positioning. It is determined that the implementation of green branding contributes to increasing customer loyalty, expanding sales markets, enhancing product value, and creating long-term competitive advantages for agricultural enterprises. Particular attention is paid to the role of eco-labels and sustainability claims as market signals that reduce consumer uncertainty and positively affect purchasing decisions.
Originality. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the substantiation of green branding as an integrated competitive tool for agricultural enterprises, which combines environmentally oriented production, digital promotion, communication of ecological value, and brand differentiation within a unified strategic framework. Unlike existing approaches, the proposed view considers green branding not only as a communication instrument but also as a strategic factor in strengthening the market sustainability of agrarian enterprises.
Conclusion. It has been concluded that green branding is an important strategic instrument for increasing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in the context of sustainable development. Its effectiveness depends on the integration of ecological innovations, transparent communication, digital marketing tools, and clear visual identification of environmental product advantages. The practical implementation of green branding enables agricultural enterprises to strengthen their market positions, improve reputation, expand their target audience, and ensure long-term competitive development.
